Earlier this year, Andrew Bird released his sixth solo album, Break it Yourself, on Mom+Pop. We don’t have to wait very long for new material though, as today it was announced an eight track companion piece, Hands of Glory, will be out on October 30. Here you can listen to the lead track from it called “Three White Horses”.

David Longstreth of Dirty Projectors wrote and directed this abstract short film titled, Hi Custodian, featuring many songs from the band’s excellent new album, Swing Lo Magellan, as well as some unreleased material. Swing Lo Magellan is available now on Domino Records.

Australian folk/pop artist Jonathan Boulet has just finished recording his sophomore album, We Keep the Beat, Found the Sound, See the Need, Start the Heart, which will be released on June 8 via Modular Records. Watch Blizten Trapper’s new video for “Stranger in a Strange Land”, taken from the album American Goldwing, released in September last year through Sub Pop. Director Luke Norby and the band’s drummer Brian Koch, used footage from Nome, Alaska, where there are no indigenous trees or mountains within plain sight, and temperatures can drop to minus 20.
